Bladder Treatment Today

I have had a strong urge to urinate, but when I go there is not much coming out. The urge was so bad I finally went to the Dr. I do not have a Urinary Tract Infection as the test was negative. So he gave me some pills to calm my bladder. I’ve been taking them for a week and it seems to calm the problem, but the urgency comes back randomly throughout the day. I don’t think it’s a problem with "overactive bladder". I’ve never had this problem. I don’t have a problem holding. When I do go, the feeling of having to go does not go away. What could this be?
