InterStim Therapy for Bladder Control

This condition is defined as urinary frequency, urgency, with or without urge incontinence. People who have poor bladder control or leak urine despite treatment with medicines such as Detrol LA, Ditropan (oxybutynin), Vesicare, Enablex, Sanctura and Toviaz should consider sacral nerve stimulation to the bladder. Interstim is also successful for urinary retention, a condition which requires a tube or catheter to empty the bladder.
